Apple on Tuesday will announce that the iTunes store will start performing the music of the legendary rock band the Beatles, reports The Wall Street Journal.

Citing people familiar with the situation, the site said Monday evening that Apple's "exciting announcements will revolve around the arrival of the Beatles songs on iTunes.Members of the band and their label EMI Group were in talks with Apple, most recently last week.

Monday morning, Apple posted a teaser on its Web site, telling customers that the company will have the most exciting announcements from iTunes on Tuesday morning. This has led to speculation that Apple would announce new cloud-based iTunes service or monthly subscription plan.
